Ethernet

Ethernet is a widely used networking technology that defines the standards for wired local area networks (LANs). It was developed in the early 1970s by Robert Metcalfe and his team at Xerox's Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and later standardized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
