We provided our customer with a CPU-based SLAM solution that is beneficial because it provides an embedded solution in the production phase. We researched different technologies for video streaming and implemented that within a workbench.
A proof of concept to show the feasibility of the idea. Our focus was on the initial localization and environment detection of the camera as well as feeding the video intake to the headset’s display at an acceptable latency level.
