Car access concepts

User Centric Design

Jan 2021,

In this Design Thinking project we created three holistic concepts for accessing a car in the future in order to improve the exterior design and functionality and provided further inspiration for different departments of our customer.

The
Challenge

Our customer wanted to improve the exterior design and functionality of their cars. The challenge was to come up with new ideas how to enter and exit the car in a user-centered and user-friendly way.

The
Solution

Motius created three holistic concepts based on inspirations from other industries, as well as structured, technical ideation and defined by user experience requirements. The user experience requirements where based on ideation as well as user surveys. The concepts can also be used as further inspiration because the details can be combined in a morphological way. Additionally, all non-pursued „crazy“ ideas were documented in detail to enable inspiration in different departments of our customer.

The
Impact

In this project, we conducted a two months user-centered Design Thinking project in order to create innovative exterior design concepts for our customer. As a result, we developed three new holistic concepts for accessing a car in the future.
